They are currently wishing to appoint a Publisher/ Managing Director to lead their passionate, professional and agile team, and drive their publishing strategy forward.
About the Role As Publisher/Managing Director, you will oversee the P&L and lead the Australian operations, working closely with the London-based leadership team.
You will set the publishing strategy, acquiring outstanding titles, and ensuring smooth operations across all aspects of our publishing list. You will also drive champion business efficiency, editorial excellence, and creative innovation while fostering strong collaboration between our UK and Australian teams.
What You’ll Do

• Lead and inspire a talented Australian team, driving strategic growth and success.
• Acquire and publish exciting new voices, bringing fresh talent to the literary world.
• Oversee editorial and business processes to ensure efficiency and excellence.
• Manage key relationships with authors, agents, and industry stakeholders.
• Work in partnership with London teams to ensure seamless international publishing strategies.
• Drive commercial success with a keen eye on both literary and market trends.
• Take ownership of P&L and make informed decisions to propel the imprint’s growth.
