    Our Client is a well-established and respected family and community services organisation providing vital care, education and guidance to assist in positive change,wellbeing and empowerment.  Reporting to the Board of Directors,the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial management of the organisation.
     The CEO will lead the organisation in achieving its mission to provide comprehensive family and community services, ensuring high-quality programs and services that meet the needs of the community. This position demands a visionary leader with a strong commitment to social justice, community development, and family well-being.
    Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:

    • Develop and implement the strategic plan in collaboration with the Board of Directors.
    • Drive the organisation’s vision, mission, and values.
    • Ensure alignment of programs and services with strategic goals and objectives.

    Operational Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation.
    • Ensure effective implementation and delivery of programs and services.
    • Maintain and improve operational policies, processes, and systems.
    • Experience in ASES accreditation would be highly regarded

    Financial Management:

    • Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the finance team and Board of Directors.
    • Ensure financial stability and sustainability through sound financial planning and management.
    • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and partnerships.

    Board Relations:

    • Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors and the organisation.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to the Board on organisational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Support the Board in governance functions and strategic decision-making.

    Community Engagement and Advocacy:

    • Represent the organisation in the community and with key stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, donors, and other stakeholders.
    • Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the mission and goals of the organisation.

    Staff Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team.
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative organisational culture.
    • Ensure ongoing professional development and training opportunities for staff.

    Compliance and Risk Management:

    • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
    • Oversee risk management practices to protect the organisation’s assets and reputation.
    • Maintain high standards of transparency, accountability, and integrity.

    Qualifications: Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).


    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a nonprofit organisation, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.


    • Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities.
    • Excellent financial management and budgeting skills.
    • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
