Our client is a well-established winery with a dynamic and growing presence in the market. They have experienced significant growth, expanding significantly since inception 20 years ago. As they navigate the ever-evolving wine industry, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Sales Manager based in Sydney to lead the sales team and drive further success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy, with a focus on major accounts in both FMCG and hospitality.
- Expand business with existing major accounts, especially targeting similar high-profile hotel groups.
- Manage and lead a sales team in Sydney, ensuring effective communication, motivation, and goal alignment.
- Set and communicate sales targets for team members, fostering a results-driven culture.
- Oversee and maintain relationships with key accounts, including the major grocery players.
- Manage a diverse product portfolio.
- Take ownership of the P&L for the assigned territory, demonstrating a strong understanding of numbers and financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for market expansion, both domestically and internationally, leveraging industry connections and market trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams, particularly in marketing and production, to align sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Conduct regular sales meetings and participate in monthly team meetings, both in-person and virtually.
- Mentor and develop the sales team, ensuring their success on the journey of business growth.
- Recruit and onboard new team members as necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales leadership role within the wine industry is essential.
- Proven track record of managing major accounts and driving sales growth.
- Strong financial acumen and ability to manage a P&L.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
